A Look At Harworth Estates, One of the Largest Landowners in the UK

In this post we will take a look at Harworth Estates, a huge landowner in the UK. Harworth Estates has over 30,000 acres of land spread across 200 sites in England. Their plan is to develop the land for commercial, residential, retail, agricultural and other purposes. They also use innovative techniques to be as environmentally friendly as possible with their development projects. One of the projects they are working on right now is Waverley, a large area of land that will be developed over the next 20 years to create a new community of about 9,000 people. This area will have shops, restaurants, schools, and 4,000 new houses. Development starts this spring (2012), where they will build the first 250 homes, and the next phase starts in 2014 where they'll build more family houses.
