Was This New-Build Inspired by The Versailles Mansion?

A new $40 million, 26,800 square foot mansion in southern Florida, dubbed "Playa Vista Isle", is currently under construction at 935 Hillsboro Mile in Hillsboro Beach. The French architecture was designed by Randall Stofft Architects and has been under construction since April 2011. But was this mansion inspired by another famous mansion under construction in southern Florida? 90,000 square foot Versailles, currently being built on Lake Butler in Windermere, Florida, sports a somewhat similar look. Apart from the enormous size difference of the two mega-mansions, the two homes are very comparable. Here are some comparison photos of the two mansions and their similar features.

So what do you think? Was this new Randall Stofft designed estate influenced by the super-mansion Versailles? Or are the matching mansions just a coincidence? Post in the comments what you think, we would love to hear your opinions.
